Faith | Our Foundation

Holistic Health Ministry exists to equip Christian churches and ministry leaders to make whole-person wellness an intentional, sustainable part of congregational life. Grounded in biblical principles and informed by research, we believe meaningful transformation begins with leadership, grows through relationships, and becomes lasting when wellness is woven into the culture of the church.

Through practical education, resources, and leadership development, we help churches strengthen their congregations, serve their communities, and honor God through intentional stewardship of health.

Rooted in biblical principles, we believe caring for our bodies, minds, and spirits is an expression of honoring God. Faith guides our commitment to whole-person wellness and compassionate service.

Community | Our Impact

Meaningful relationships are at the heart of lasting transformation. We help churches cultivate connection, belonging, and a culture of care that strengthens congregations and extends beyond church walls. Through intentional leadership and community engagement, wellness becomes more than an initiative. It becomes part of how the church lives out its mission.

Meet the Heart Behind the Ministry

Dr. Heather King | Founder, Holistic Health Ministry

With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, including oncology, genetics, and faith-based health education, Dr. Heather King brings both professional expertise and a deeply personal calling to Holistic Health Ministry.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer at just 33 years old, Heather's journey took on a new purpose. Through that experience, she believes God began leading her toward a deeper understanding of whole-person wellness and the importance of honoring Him through the care of our bodies, minds, and spirits.

Her doctoral research exploring how Christian churches successfully integrate and sustain wellness ministries further strengthened that calling and inspired her book, Building a Culture of Wellness.

Today, her passion is to equip churches to build healthier congregations, strengthen communities, and cultivate lasting cultures of care.

Because when congregations are healthier, they are better equipped to fulfill all that God is calling them to do.
